About Ashley
About Me
- Name: Ashley
- Location: Fort Collins, Colorado, United States
AT WORK: a mild-mannered philanthropic professional. THE REST OF THE TIME: a trail-running fool with a passion for long excursions in the outdoors. This leads to a single-minded determination to run up the next hill, and then the next and the next! It also makes her seem totally crazy to most other human beings (but we've heard this is common among trail runners).

Great ideas!
Check me out....I'm not just lurking, but commenting!
Great ideas! Although I am NOT a runner (not by choice, but because knee doc said "bad idea unless you're being chased"), I can still apppreciate the list, being a rabid National Parks dork. I even have the passport that you can get stamped at all the Parks and Historic Sites (which is another fun gift).
In fact, if I ever started a blog, it could be about the triumphs and heartbreaks involved in getting National Parks stamps. Like the fact that I've been to the Gateway Arch THREE times now and somehow forgotten the passport every single time. I could also dispense priceless wisdom from my wealth of experience, such as when NOT to go to Death Valley......
Hey, Alexis! Hope you had a merry Christmas. My dad could join you in your blog about when not to go to Death Valley; he was actually rained out there, if you can believe that! He and Grandma had to leave the area where they were camping, and the rangers closed the flooded highway behind them as they fled the park.
Merry Christmas to you & yours -- and let me know when you're next headed to St. Louis; I'll remind you of one essential item to pack in the car! Love, A.
